bet365 is live in West Virginia.

The operator flipped the switch on its sportsbook and real-money online casino Aug. 27, making West Virginia its 18th US state and only its fourth running both products side by side, joining New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Not its first rodeo, in other words. West Virginia is the latest stop on a run that has bet365 opening new markets faster than almost anyone else in the business right now.

The West Virginia Lottery, which licenses sports wagering and online casino gaming in the state, cleared bet365 for an interim license in January and approved its full annual license July 29, according to SBC Americas. bet365 joins a field that already includes BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars and BetRivers taking real-money bets online in the state.

What bet365 brings to West Virginia

New customers get a bet $10, get $150 in bonus bets, plus 50 free spins on the sportsbook side. The casino has its own deposit match plus 1,000 free spins for new players.

On the product side, bet365 is leaning on its Early Payout Offer, which settles a qualifying bet as a winner once a team goes up 17 points, along with Jackpot365, an in-house multi-tier progressive jackpot built into both betslips and casino games. There’s also the Daily Prize Matcher, a free-to-play game.

The company says it streams more than a million live sporting events a year and takes bets on more than 100 sports.

Trip Stoddard, bet365’s head of development, called the launch a reflection of “the quality, depth and functionality that define the bet365 platform” and framed it as part of the company’s broader push across North America.

The timing is not an accident. West Virginia goes live one week before the college football season kicks off and roughly two weeks ahead of the NFL opener — the two heaviest betting windows of the year for any new sportsbook trying to build a customer base fast.

How fast is bet365 actually moving

The West Virginia online casino market marks bet365’s third new North American market of 2026 alone, and its sixth in the past 13 months, per SBC Americas. That pace lines up with a company that has been spending big to build out its US presence, including a reported $135 million Denver headquarters and a “Winning Is Everything” marketing push aimed at American and Canadian bettors.

That is not the posture of an operator testing the water. It is the posture of one trying to be everywhere before the football season locks in habits for the year.

West Virginia legalized retail and online sports betting in 2018 and online casino gaming in 2020, giving it a longer track record than several of the states bet365 has entered more recently. That history is part of the appeal. A mature, regulated market means bet365 is not writing the rules as it goes, just adding its name to a list of operators already competing for the same bettors.

Eighteen states in, bet365 is not acting like a company ready to stop.
